Detailed Itinerary

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your PREDOM guide and transferred northwest toward Murchison Falls National Park — Uganda’s largest park and home to the powerful Nile River.

Drive through the Luwero Triangle and stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for optional rhino tracking en route. Arrive at Nile Safari Lodge, a luxury lodge inside the park, in time for lunch and an afternoon at leisure.

In the evening, enjoy your first taste of the African bush as the sounds of the Nile drift across the lodge.

Begin with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile – prime territory for lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffe, and Uganda kob.

After breakfast, enjoy a boat safari upstream to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a 7-meter-wide gorge, creating a thundering cascade. Spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife – including the shoebill stork if you’re lucky.

In the afternoon, drive to the Top of the Falls for a dramatic view of the Nile squeezing through the narrow gorge.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and drive south through the Albertine Rift Valley toward Kibale Forest National Park — home to the highest concentration of primates in East Africa.

After your trek, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure — or take an optional Bigodi Swamp Walk (a community-run wetland sanctuary rich in birdlife and primates).

Begin with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains – prime territory for lions hunting at dawn, plus elephants, buffalo, and Uganda kob.

The day you’ve been waiting for. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking protocols. Then set off into the misty rainforest with your guide and trackers.

Trekking duration varies from 2–6 hours depending on gorilla location. Bring plenty of water, sturdy shoes, a non-flash camera, and a rain jacket. The moment you encounter a gorilla family in the wild is simply unforgettable — you’ll spend one magical hour observing them.

After your trek, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure — reliving the experience, relaxing, or exploring the lodge’s surroundings.

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive east to Lake Mburo National Park — Uganda’s smallest savanna park and a peaceful finale to your safari.

Arrive at Mihingo Lodge, a luxury lodge bordering the park without fences, perched on a rocky outcrop with panoramic views. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive or guided nature walk in search of zebra, impala, eland, and buffalo — species that are harder to find elsewhere in Uganda.
