Best time to visit

June to September and December to February are the driest months, best for trekking. Rwanda can be visited year-round.

Gorilla permits

Permits are limited, in high demand, and priced separately from your tour package — we include the current permit cost in every quote and recommend booking early.

Fitness level

Gorilla trekking involves hiking steep, sometimes muddy volcanic terrain at altitude for up to several hours. Moderate to good fitness recommended.

Entry requirements

Many nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival or e-visa for Rwanda. We handle the application alongside your safari booking.
